Halong Bay
Towering limestone pillars and tiny islets topped by forest rise from the emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. Halong translates as 'where the dragon descends into the sea' and legend tells that this mystical seascape was created when a great mountain dragon charged towards the coast, its flailing tail gouging out valleys and crevasses. As the creature plunged into the sea, the area filled with water leaving only the pinnacles visible. The geological explanation of karst erosion may be more prosaic, but doesn't make this seascape any less poetic.
Sapa
Established as a hill station by the French in 1922, Sapa today is the tourism centre of the northwest.
Sapa is orientated to make the most of the spectacular views emerging on clear days; overlooking a plunging valley, with mountains towering above on all sides. Views of this epic scenery are often subdued by thick mist rolling across the peaks, but even when it's cloudy, local hill-tribe people fill the town with colour.

Start your day with a scenic, 3 and ½ hour drive to Halong Bay.
Embark on V’Spirit Classic Cruise, followed by a short cruise
briefing. Savor a delectable lunch as V’Spirit Classic cruises among
the limestone islands. Explore the amazing Sung Sot Cave - the
most beautiful cave in Halong Bay. Cruising to Titov island. Go
swimming and relaxing at the beach of Titov or climb up to the
top of the island for a panorama view of Halong Bay. Return to
the main boat and continue cruising to the quiet area while enjoy
beautiful seascape on the way. Enjoy Sunset Party on sundeck
and admire the best moments of the day when the sun starts to
set. Take part in board games, fish for squid, or just laze around.

Start your day with Tai Chi exercises or a photo hunt. Have
breakfast on board and enjoy the peaceful morning of Halong Bay.
Kayak around the Luon Cave. Freshen up and check out of your
cabin. Continue your cruise exploring the Bay, passing Ba Hang
fishing village, Dog Islet, and more. While heading back to the
harbor, watch the fruit carving demonstration and participate in
the Cooking Class before enjoying a traditional Vietnamese lunch.
You’ll disembark V’Spirit Classic and transfer back to Hanoi. Trip
finishes at around 1700. Overnight in hotel in Hanoi.
Depart for Sapa Town, home of colorful traditional costumes of
H’mong, Dzao and Tay ethnic People. Enjoy a local Vietnamese
lunch, the take a short trek to the gate of Cat Cat village which
is home of Black H’mong ethnic people and is located near the
bottom of a deep valley at the foot of Fansipan Peak. Our local
guide will show you the daily life activities of the locals, trek down
to the valley bottom to the waterfall where the French built a
Hydraulic Power Station; stop for photo with bridge and waterfall
then you will walk uphill for bus to pick up to get back to Sa Pa
in the afternoon. Come back to Sa Pa Town for a local dinner.

Trek from Sapa to Y Linh Ho then trek through the rice terraces and
along Muong Hoa Stream to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai
to see the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son Mountain.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at Lao Chai Village. Head over to Ta Van village
- home of Dzay ethnic people. Bus picks you up at Ta Van Bridge
to travel to Sapa. Trekking Length: 10 - 12 km. Duration: 4.5 hours.
