This morning, you will sight-see Tiananmen Square, which is noted as the largest public square in the world and then the Imperial Palace in the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty. For almost 500 years, it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government. Later stop at a Pearl Factory to gain a little knowledge of fresh pearls. Rest of the day is free at leisure.
Enjoy an excursion to the Great Wall of China, which is one of the seven greatest man-made wonders of the world and is definitely the focal point of China. Experience the wonder of walking this ancient monument before heading to a Jade Museum to learn the history of Jade. Then visit a Chinese Herbal Institute to learn about traditional Chinese medicine and enjoy a rejuvenating foot massage which has existed for thousands of years. Afterwards take a trip to the cooking school, located in one of Beijing's Hutongs. Then enjoy a Tai Chi class under the guidance of a Tai Chi Master. This ancient technique introduces Qi (internal energy) to improve the body's general state of health and helps fight against some chronic diseases.
