When you sail into Shimizu Port, you will enjoy the scenery of Mount Fuji in the background. It is an amazing sight. As the highest mountain in Japan, the perfectly shaped volcano has been worshipped as a sacred mountain. Spectacular views of Mt. Fuji can be enjoyed in port and during 6 hours sail-away (14:00-20:00, weather permitting).
Located at the southwest tip of Kyushu Island, Kagoshima is often compared to its Italian sister city of Naples because of its mild weather and palm-tree lined streets. The city lies in the shadow of Mt. Sakurajima, an active volcano – similar to Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Spectacular views of Mt. Sakurajima can be sighted 3 hours prior to arrival (13:00) and in port (weather permitting).
